I have always wanted to keep chickens. FINALLY I bought my own house and land and the first thing I did was order chicks.
I would love to show them off, but also get opinions as to what they might be. I ordered a "female feather-legged bantam mix". They said it could be any of the following: Silkies, Cochins (possibly frizzle or not), Brahmas, or Mille De Fleur's.
I would love to hear any input as to what you think they might be! I THINK I recognize a couple of Silkies, but I really don't know.
The chicks are much smaller than I expected (and I had chicks as a child). Could that be because they are bantams? They are SO adorable, I'm sure I have the cutest chicks ever. There is one oddball that seems to have a rather large head (lol) and gets mad when I pick it up, he chirps like crazy. What could that mean?
Any and all input on my darling little chickies I would love. There is one I've called Tiny, who is clearly a runt, but he is hanging in there strong! The first day he slept a lot and was somewhat lethargic and didn't understand the concept of water, but now he's eating and drinking and running around with the best of them!
I had no casualties and I feel so lucky that I got such an adorable group of cuties (not that there are any bad ones!). By the way, I ordered from MyPetChicken.com and would highly recommend them to others! Here are my pics!
I attached pics of each of my 8 chicks; I hope I didn't attach too many!
