Yea!!! I am happy for you. I had my first eggs last week. Brown eggs and green.I am a new mom to 10 hens. My question to anybody out there in Chicken land. How long do I have to get my eggs inside the refrigerator? I let my hens free range in the day time and sometimes they lay their eggs outside of their nesting boxes

Congrats! I know how you feel, I got my first two eggs today. Smaller in size and light brown. They are pretty clean as well. My hens are 18 weeks old. So, one of them is doing a great job already!

My DH told me that if you don't wash the eggs, they can stay out of the fridge for up to 2 weeks. If you wash them, they need to go into the fridge ASAP.
