Finally Out of Hiding!

Hey everybody! My name is Jason. My family is new to chickens as of last April and we have been lurking in the shadows here ever since. I finally decided to bite the bullet and officially join the fun! We bought 6 chicks from our Tractor Supply, 2 Golden Comet pullets, 2 Black Star pullets (lost one of these ladies) and 2 Barred Rock straight runs (one ended up being a rooster, but he's awesome.) We got our first eggs about a month ago, getting 1 or 2 a day so far. My 3 kids (ok, and me, too! Ha ha!) have enjoyed raising them and seeing their personalities come out. I'm glad to be here now, and want to thank everyone for the knowledge gained while in the shadows and again in advance for things to come!
