Good Morning All!
I have been reading BYC for years when I had questions about chickens! We have always had a few laying hens, but switched into hatching and raising birds after our youngest son, who is 7, fell in love with chickens! We currently have a flock of Silkies, Ayam Cemani, LF Cochin, English Crele Orpingtons, Lavender Orpingtons, and a variety of laying hens that are for eating eggs only! We just hatched Light Brahmas which we plan on raising a flock of as well! We have 1 Polish pullet that we hatched, she is my son's FAVORITE!
We are located in Central Virginia and hope to be part of the Back Yard poultry community for years to come!
