Well, technically, I have a refund check coming for the 3 Hookbills and Runners that I paid for and didn't get, and since I only paid for 3 Dark Campbells and got 6, those 3 extras mean that, despite the two that died, I got 1 more duckling than I paid for (SO confusing, I know!)
They send a form along with the shipment (not an official postal form) that they ask you to send back - it's basically just feedback so that they know how the shipment went. I sent that back and left a note on the back - but I won't be disappointed if they don't up my refund - I got Dark Campbells and Dutch Hookbills that they sell for $5 - $7.50 each, and, all figured, without any refund for the two that died, it averages out that I got the remaining 10 for $3.83 each. Not too shabby
I just couldn't resist reviving this thread with new pictures of their progress...
It has finally been warm enough the past few days that the babies were able to start spending their days outside. It actually got too warm yesterday, and they all hung out under their beach umbrella, splashing in a pan of cool water
Here they are! They're right on the verge on their ugly stage - prickly little feathers are beginning to emerge, and all their itching is wearing their baby down thin.
I'm just about dying in anticipation waiting to find out how many boys vs. girls I have!
