I'm going to say that a couple of your chicks look like mixed breeds to me-- like the ones with the "bad hair". They have barred rock or dominique markings, but the top knot is from somewhere else. Take that for what it's worth-- I don't know much yet!

i'm thinking the same thing...just not sure where they come from..hahah i wish dh had asked the teacher where they got the eggs..

They all look like barnyard mixes to me. Teacher probally got them for free or for low cost from someone with a mixed flock. I supplied a teacher mixed hatching eggs as they don't get money for these projects and it's out of their own pockets.
