Finally squatting - now the wait....

We have a Faverolle/EE mix that was born May 23, 2010, so she is ~31 weeks this weekend. She just finally started squatting about 2 weeks ago

...now she squats for us all the time even if we are across the yard from her and barely glance her direction.

I have seen her hang around in the nesting boxes, but still nothing. I am eager to see what she lays (green or brown). Her dad was a purebred Faverolle, her mama is an EE that lays green eggs. She is definitely taking her sweet time.

I have never had a bird take so long to lay!

Exciting! Some birds take FOREVER to start laying!

Someone can correct me if I'm wrong...the egg she lays is based on the color of the egg that her "dad" hatched from. I'm not familiar with SF, but whatever egg color they lay is the color she should lay.
