Finally Started My Big Coop!!

What a fantastic coop. Can't wait to see it finished. My coop is a repurposed playhouse. Works great for my 7 girls.

Did you lay any fencing under/on the borders your run? Your run design is exact to what I intend to build. I'm debating on the best approach to take when it comes to protecting it from digging predators. Amazing coop, by the way! All around perfection!

I actually only have the fence tacked up around the run temporarily. I am going to dig the bottom of the fence into the ground a bit but I am not going to lay fencing around the edge of the run. My chickens will be locked up at night and during the day I am not overly worried about digging predators. Thanks for the compliments on the coop.

This is a great nice big coop. My "edit" above was a post for another thread which I later removed from this thread. Rookie mobile phone BYC app user move.

Have a fan in the window, one blowing in and one blowing out to keep fresh air circulating.

Have the electric cords behind a piece of plexiglass held on by turn buttons to keep the chickens from pecking at the cords.

The battery and trickle charger were getting really dusty in the coop so I made a little cover out of plexiglass to keep it clean.
