My ducks finally got back into the big pond today! Such a relief that they finally ventured back. They had so much fun playing and swimming and eating all day long.
They havent been in the pond since one of their mates was eaten by a gator about 4-6 weeks ago. The state has removed 3 gators since then. A 6 footer who ate our beloved Belle. a 5 ft 3 incher who crawled in to take the bait from the final one 8 ft 3 incher! We have spent hours/days cleaning out all the algae this spring/summer so hopefully they will stay swimming in the pond!
