I have a barred rock and a black australorp that will be 28 weeks on Nov 6 and I just found 4 brown eggs in the nesting box. I usually clean the coop every morning but didn't get out until after lunch today and found the eggs. I don't think they were there yesterday because I would have seen them for sure.So now I am not sure which one layed them or when. The eggs are cold from being outside. I really didn't think they would lay until spring because it now gets dark so early in northern Idaho.
Anyway I am so excited to find eggs finally. Only the australorp squats when you pet her and the other one doesn't at all. Yeah eggs!! my girls can do it
