Got my first chickens early April. 4 dark Brahmas. I read where they mature slow but at 4.5 months old I got my first small brown egg Saturday evening! Had another yesterday evening and saw her go back in the coop while ago while all the others where out free ranging. Snuck over and looked in and sure enough she was in the back of the nesting box. I waited till she came back out and sure enough there lay another egg. 3 eggs in 3 days. They are pretty small but hopefully they'll get bigger in time.
. My new pullets, at least one of them, are laying and they are small but I know in time they will get bigger (with more practice
