I am getting a reddening tomato.

The plants are just loaded, but the cool summer has not helped with ripening. The last hot spell triggered a huge growth spurt, but finally I am within days of a ripe tomato!

Wow, I had red tomatoes 2 months ago. I see you have roma's. Those are tasty. I have cut my plants way back to get my second crop out of them.

wow, ok, now you need to explain that to us? Anxious to read all about it.
Congrats, Terrie, one of my favs in our garden are the romas

Nice tomatoes ~ ours have already come and gone. Froze most of them, and made some salsa. This week, I planted broccoli, cabbage, and cauliflower.

I cut mine back about a month ago. I took all the new growth and blossoms off as well as a lot of excess leaves, leaving enough for healthy plants.

I need to go through the romas again, though.

I have a couple beefsteaks that look about a pound or more each, but they are still growing.

*sniffle, sniffle, whine*

We had tons of gorgeous tomatoes then we were hit with blight. They were all gone in 48 hours....just a mass of fuzzy black icky stuff...

On the upside....I have more cantaloupe than I know what to do with.

my grandfarthers get hit with blight every year! He puts sulfer on wich controls it just long enough for all the tomatoes to ripen. He usually gets it halfway though the season! I Hate that stuff

We tried cantaloupes, didn't get one.

My girls love them, and they cost me 2.50 to 2.75 each, and they are getting smaller and smaller at the store.
