finaly gonna hatch some egss.

This week newchickens2009 will be sending some eggs whick i great ly thank for. I 'll be using the bucket inator bator and the styrofoam cooler bator. What was it like you forst tyme hatching eggs..?? I'm so gosh darn egg-cited ( gett the pun i put egg in the excited you see itf funny )

I was eggxtremely nervous my first hatch, oh wait im still on my first hatch.. Ok I guess a lil eggcitment tooo

Mine have been doing great.. At last count I hatched 1 Bantam Frizzle cochin, 5 Buttons, 25 coturnix, and have 2 dozen mixed chicken eggs and 1 pekin duck egg from my duickies that got killed... Good lUck on your hatch..

My first hatch, I was very very excited - Which turned to nervous, then unhopeful, then frustrated and upset. . . And I ended up having 0 out of 18 hatch. But don't worry, I was using a very cheap, touchy incubator and it had a temp spike while I wasn't there to help it.

After that, I'm now on my 2nd and 3rd hatch (both at once) and they're going great!! Time doesn't seem to move as slowly as it did the first hatch, and I am no where near as nervous as before.

My 1st batch was due to hatch 3/12. 0 hatched (though only 4 from 13 made it to lockdown...most were clears).

Now Im waiting on batch 2 EDD 3/17, then another 3/23, then another 4/3. (The last 2 are various breeds that were given to me..hoping for better luck since not shipped.)

I had my still air bator set on 99, not 101. So now wondering if they will hatch late....or even at all!!!!!

Incubating is a pain in my butt.
