I have finches, budgies and cockateils, and I'm pretty sure my finches have been infested with red mites, but they are in an aviary I can't walk into, I have been reading about Scatt, but I can't put drops on them as I can't reach them, any other suggestions please, I have spray them and the aviaries with Avian Insect Liquidator but not sure if this is enough, one of my finches I can see skin on his back and under one wing, any help would be appreciated, TIA

Red mites don't stay on the birds during the day so hopefully giving every inch of the aviary a good spray down with the avian insect liquidator should work. Concentrate on anywhere the mites could hide - any crack or crevice. Spray the birds with it too as with spraying them you can be some distance away and still get some on them. Good luck.
