They both lay?

If you have a more current picture I would be able to tell you better. They get super chunky as they get older and I'm assuming she was only ~1 year old in this picture?

Tilly is in the foreground Biggles the other Toulouse and Jessie are in the background

Yes they both have been laying eggs, we just obtained a male Sammy the Emden is only three months old.

If only you were closer to Ohio I might consider the female chinese or pair of embdens to free range on the pond with our ducks. Some say they help keep predators away because of their size. Im just sure my grandpa would be reluctant in getting geese though. He says they bite hard XP im trying to tell him that nice geese wont. But our only problem with that is if they would get along with ducks. They are beautiful geese. I hope you find them homes :) Shipping isnt an option for us, but good luck!

The powers that be aren't interested in 5 more geese. If there is any way that you would split your group we would be interested in the Toulouse, but as of this moment all would be too much to add to our brood. Thank you for answering my questions and I wish you the best of luck finding someone closer!

They don't bite unless young or eggs are involved, they protect their babies as they should, I guess you do get mean Geese we have never had that problem ours have always been gentle. Our neighbor across the back from us has offered to take our Geese, I have to help out with fencing as her place is not safe, both locations in NYS and Ohio look ideal our fault for bringing Geese to Florida, we are surrounded by hunters, human and animal who prefer to spend time killing Geese as opposed to looking after them, so its lucky that our neighbor is a animal lover she has goats Rabbits a dog and now Geese.

Have you given the geese away yet? because I would love to have them as our pets. I don't plan on eating them at all. If I can get some ganders for the females of the same breed(or I can have cross breed doesn't matter) I would let them sit on their eggs and hatch goslings. I'm in NY and we are moving right now(just about finished) where we only have one acre though(wish we had more land) but we have lots of grass to graze and a creek in the yard for swimming and drinking!
