Good morning everyone
I just wanted to rant. Today is a fun day for me (not). I take ADHD medications. Whether you support that or not, it helps me tremendously due to not only my ADHD, but my panic disorder. It's a long story, but without medication, my head becomes overwhelmed with thoughts and anxiety.
Every month I have to fight to get my meds. It seems as though everyone is diagnosed with ADHD because my meds are always out of stock. It also doesn't help that someone (a politician) added ADHD medications to a bill on opioids.
As I wrote this, I was on the phone with the pharmacist. Yesterday the pharmacist on duty couldn't lower the price. I called again this morning to change my prescription. I told my pharmacist that I couldn't afford the med and that I need to change it. She told me to wait a second. She then came back and said she could lower it to $75! It's still a little expensive, but it was originally $370 WITH insurance. I am so grateful that I found a pharmacist that could do this for me. I don't know how she did it, but I really appreciate her.
Relying on meds due to a disability is frustrating sometimes but sometimes you come across people who genuinly care about you and your condition and go above and beyond
