Does anyone else have trouble finding clothes that actually fit?? Maybe it is just me, but I am beginning to hate shopping! A size in one brand isn't the same in another. If I find a style/brand that fits, it will be discontinued. This is everything from shoes to undergarments! I'm not an odd size--just average. Does anyone else have this issue or is it just what happens after having two children?? Grrrrrrrr.

No, its the way the mfg, thinks we should all be. . .I am short and a little chunky, and cannot buy a "two piece" because I am smaller on the bottom than I am on top . . .finding pieces that match is a nightmare, and if you wear anything over a 16, you won't find nice stuff that isn't made for a HUGE shapeless lady anywhere except the high end clothing stores, and I cannot afford that. Finding a good bra to fit right is a joke too, unless you go to a custom bra store, and who can afford that in this day and age? I hear ya!!!!!

I wear a 3 1/2 shoe. I'm in my late 30's. It takes everything I have in me not to run from the darn kid shoe section screaming. Everything they sell sneaker wise either has dora the explorer, spongebob, transformers, barbie....Forget about owning a pair of nice boots, or heels. I own one pair of heels from 15 years ago.
Clothing is a similar experience, at least for pants. They are usually way to big in the waist. I've come to the point now where I HATE shopping. It just depresses me.

It's not just the fit that's a problem these days! All I have seen to choose from are either clothes that I'd be ashamed to wear in public because they show WAY TOO much skin & scream "FLOOZY!", or outfits like my granny wore.....although, her moo-moos did look nice and comfy.

I wear a size 5, finding shoes that aren't hanna montana in my size is tricky. Try Zappos.com for shoes.

for me its that way with suits and dress shirts. I measure a 42 long, but then again, I am a short guy, 5'6 so the coat looks like a dress. Needless to say I go to Jerry the Tailor for everything

Disadvantages of being short and broad shouldered i suppose.

I hate shopping too! My problem is, I don't want to dress like I am almost 40!

However I don't want to be "that" woman that looks like she raided her daughters closet!

The clothes women my age are suppose to wear are those high waisted jeans and shirts with flowers appliqued on them. No wait, sweatshirts with cats on them!

I know what you mean about sizes. You try on one brand a certian size fits and you are yea

this is good! Then you try on another brand and you are suddenly 3 sizes fatter!

Oh yea! I hate shopping.

I needed jeans really bad. I had been wearing the same pair for over a year. I know how weird that sounds, but, did I mention I hate shopping!? Well my DH felt sorry for me and got on line and ordered me 2 pair from Victoria Secret. He did great! 1 pair fit and we sent the other back for a different style and they fit. So I should be good now for 5 years, as long as I don't eat!!!!

My Top is one size, my waist is 4 sizes smaller, and my hips are 2 smaller than my top. If a dress fits my bust & biceps, it fluffs out so far people assume I'm expectant. Anything that isn't a V neck or princess seamed adds 40 lbs to my waist, so it's all v necked wrap dresses and open collars, with skirts that have the waist taken in.

Now can we please get my mother to stop buying me crew necked baggy light-up holiday sweaters??? Oh look, now I'm fatter and need to buy hearing aid batteries, Geez thanks mom!

Yeah, I searched Zappo's. They don't carry anything smaller than a size 5 which won't fit. I had to get a pair of work boots last year. I finally found a place that sold a couple of brands smaller than a size 5. I said, "Great, I would like to order a size 4 1/2! " Thinking I would probably want the extra room in a workboot. Well....4 months later, and freshly made from the factory in China... I got my boots. They fit fine, but I had been laid off from my job that required them.

This is a great topic. I HATE shopping!!!!!! Always have, always will, I guess. I am 5'7", age 37, and wear a 0 or 1....and every one of my friends think that is wonderful....until shopping. Trying to find something professional without glitter or Hello Kitty on it...is ridiculous!!!

when I do go shopping, I hate to try anything on, because I know I am going to be disappointed which reinforces why I hate shopping! DH shops for me and I pay my shop-a-holic friends to shop for me (they buy and I reimburse them).

Seriously, I am an elementary school principal and I have 5th graders handing down jeans to me when they go to the middle school!!!! It's more of a running joke...aw, now, ain't that funny!!!!
