finding dead pheasants in coop

Am I getting this right your birds are 6 weeks old and on pellets? if so be carefull of getting their crop packed where food wont go down. my game bird starter and grower is in crumble form to avoid this. http://www.kalmbachfeeds.com/757BMD.html

yes 6 w ks andm just mixing the two feeds together this wk to make the transition to pellets per the breeder i bought the day old chicks from in vt. i turned both light back on last nite we had alot of rain yesterday and last nite.. and so far no dead birds this am ..the sick "gasping " ones seem to under the lite ..

Im thinking the same as DMFarm is. Too chilly for them at night.
