Out of the first twenty, only one has hatched so far and it has curled toes and not able to walk. I’m not sure what to do! Tape them? How far up does the tape go (over the ankle?). How long before his toes are “set?”
The tape only needs to go over the toes so they're straight. You will see improvement with 12-24 hours if you're going to see any.Hi, yes, I fell asleep while writing that post. i wasn’t able to spread his little toes out enough, so after 12 hours, they were straighter, but one foot still a bit curled. He wasn’t able to stand or walk at all after I took the tape off. So I tried to apply it more neatly with masking tape.
Is this right? It’s the best I could do with button quail toes.
