Finding eggs in the water? Can I hatch them or arent they gonna be any good?

We live on a small private lake and because of the critters the ducks are not nesting or brooding. I keep finding eggs every morning in the water! Can I take them and incubate them and will they hatch?Please give me any information you can as soon as you can so I can go out and get them ! How long can they be in the water before they wont be any good?

I don't imagine they would be any good. They might be if they were only in there for a few minutes. I had a duck nest flood and they were in standing water and the did not hatch. Sorry for the bad news.

it depends on how long they've been in..but i put mine that i find in the lake in the incubator..i candle them after a few days and toss the ones that are no good..but i've had them hatch from the eggs as well. Just make sure that there are no cracks..even hair line cracks are no good.
