Finding feathers under the roost?

The last two days I have found a lot of feathers from one of my chickens underneath the roost. It’s all from the same hen as I only have one with that color feathers. What would be causing her to lose feathers during the night? There aren’t feathers anyplace else. She is 7 months old.

Is she laying yet?

If not, this could be her final juvenile molt and she'll start laying once she has a nice coat of adult feathers.

Sounds as if she is molting.

Yes, she is laying. Although lately not so much, assuming due to the weather.

A chick to 8 month old will go through several molts till they acquire there adult feathers.
