Finding Grit

Hello,
I'm giving my chickens a couple dozen crickets about every other week and during the day they just room the yard and are locked up at night. I assume that I need to provide grit for my chickens but am having trouble finding it, any ideas on where to find grit to feed to my chickens.

If they are in the yard every day they should be getting enough on their own I would think.

Hi Chipper, I am not sure where you are located. In my area grit is readily available at the local Tractor Supply and the feed stores. Otherwise, mail ordering via the internet from places such as My Pet Chicken or Valley Vet Supply is an option.

Mine eat their fair share of grit even though they free range most of the day. I figure an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure; it is very inexpensive.
