Finding our hen on her side

Hi there,

We keep finding one of our Delawares on her side in the coop. Her legs are pulled close to her body but they are in the air. Kind of looks like she has keeled over but once we pick her up, she seems fine. Eating, drinking and pooping just fine. It has happened about 5 times now over the course of the past 3 months with no apparent pattern. She is 5 years old and none of our other hens (11 total) and showing signs of this.

I have a video but not seeing an option to post it.

Any ideas?

Is this only happening in the coop, never out in the run? All times of day, or are you finding her that way in the morning?

Is your video on youtube? The way to post videos that I know of is to add the youtube link.

Hope your chicken is okay. Does she have balance issues? I had a chicken once with balance issues who couldn't get up if she fell over. Don't know if it could be neurological disorder or not. It may help to see a video.

Could otherwise be relaxing. Does she spread her wing out when she does it?
