finding some poop in nesting boxes

new to this. I have found poop in the nesting boxes. When I went in the morn they were all on the roost. Sometimes we have seen them in the nesting boxes. Any suggestion to eliminate poop getting in the nesting boxes. They have not started laying yet but it will be soon (prrobably 2 weeks) thanks

Can you block the boxes at night?

If you have a shy or low ranking bird they sometimes will hide in there during the day too to avoid being harassed. Make sure to have areas in the run where they can dart behind to be out of sight of anyone feeling bossy.
I keep a water dish and some food behind the hiding spots in my run too.
