One of my 14 week old dorking pullets pecks or "bites" my finger when I reach into the coop to handle them how do I stop it?

When one of my RSL girls was getting too aggressive with her pecking, I started picking her up and holding her close to me firmly every time she did it. Now she only does it when she wants attention. I'll pick her up for a couple minutes, we walk around, have a little chat and then when set down she's happy and goes about her business.

Thank you NorthFLChick but that doesn't help because I want it to stop not encourage it

It's a way of showing who's in charge, a display of dominance, when I pick her up and hold her so she can't peck me. Chickens are like other animals...they have to know who is the boss. It worked for me, thought it might help. Good luck.
