Finicky chickens

Wow thanks I will order some I wouldn't think a bug would be high in calcium but that's cool. How much do you feed them? Do you think they will fill up on cicadas this year? I am in the zone. I hope they don't gorge themselves and skip the feed.

Apparently it's in the soldier fly larvae exoskeletons. I feed it as a treat on the ground.

Cicadas sound like good forage to me. We don't get them, but I know my hens love grasshoppers.

Last time we had them it was soooo bad you couldn't go outside without two or three in your hair, and they stink like no tomorrow. 2023 better be good I'm loosing hope.
