When you willingly choose to get up before the sun all summer long to do barn chores, gardening and other outside chores, and you enjoy it! I love being out in the barn early. I know people (city folk mostly) who do not get up until 9:00 or 10:00 and who believe I am quite touched in the head for wanting to be out so early. (um, avoiding heat for one thing!) One even asked me if I went back to bed when I was done with chores! She just couldn't fathom being awake and up at such an hour unless one had to go to work. Well I DO have to go to work, I just don't have to commute any farther then out my back door!
