OK- I pretty much finished up the recycled coop. Everything in it is made out of something that I already owned, minus the chicken wire. We took down an old privacy fence and I unscrewed all the boards and used the 2x4's and planks for the coop. This is inside our shed that came with the house. I even reused the screws! Flower planters are the floor level nesting boxes and the upper level ones are made out of an old shelf. I used misc. tiles leftover from the house basement for the floor lining and a stick from the backyard for the perch. No plans were used for this model - I was just winging it by the materials I had left in my pile. Now... I hopefully the chicks will arrive next week and we can get them in the brooder.... then later to the coop! Plus... time to start working on the outdoor run.
