We were offered a free coop from a friends backyard and gladly took it apart and put it back together. My husband built a roosting box made from free pallets and free old barn wood. Our fencing was also free from the same man giving the barn wood away. We took the great idea of PVC feeders from this awesome website! Our hens are truly in Chicken Heaven! Here are some pics of our coop.

I am ALL WITH YOU. I myself also like to re purpose things. My coop is a converted lil tykes children's playhouse. Of course I could have just slapped some plywood together. But that would defeat my purpose. Besides,,, that plastic will not rot for many years. I also use these baby crock pots to keep chickens water from freezing. I don't have them running full bore. I have a dimmer switch keep the water just above freezing. LIFE IS GOOD. Most of what I use costs me little or many times its free.
