Finishing off our coop - what should we make for silkies?

So the walls are going up on our coop, soon enough it will be time to finish off the inside. I have 5 silkies and 1 seriously tiny Polish pullet. Do I have to keep the roosts relatively low? And while we did have to put a floor in and its elevated it shouldn't be too high for the silkies. I read somewhere they are not big on the gangplanks going up into the coops?

Just make the gangplank wide maybe some kind of grip on the floor.

A wide gangplank definitely helps. I covered my indoor plank with shingle material - very grippable. My silkie roosts are a little under 24 inches from the floor.

Neither my Silkies nor my Polish prefer to roost.

They would rather huddle together on the floor for the night.
