FINSHED COOP PICS Bantam coop progress (pic heavy)

My first thought was, how on earth are they planning to move that sucker.

Thanks everyone for the great comments on my coop

I have more pics to add later...we got a lot more done now.

Thanks everyone for the nice comments on the coop. KB, the mille's LOVE their new digs. I have some room now to add a few more hens

And on the other side I have the orps and a polish hen so the mille's love the company I think. I have a hardware cloth frame in-between them and it CAN easily be removed if I decide to add even MORE mille's

I do plan on adding the other three to the big hen house but they are just to small yet. My hens can be bullies. That's why I pulled the polish back out, she was added over last fall and they just would not let her eat. Good thing she was a fast runner...they could never catch her! I can't even stand to see them picking on her for a minute!

Nice job, I'm sure you will be raising happy chickens. I ran into a similar problem myself recently by building my first tractor-coop...I now own a tractor trailer coop and inched my way to it's final resting place. My John Deere had no trouble moving it or stopping it from going over the cliff. I did find that using some round logs made it roll easier...just had to stop and place a new log and re-attach the logging chain for the brake. Thread...My First Coop

Happy Hatch'en Wisconsin....stay warm.

That looks great! That is about the dimensions of the coop I just got. If you don't mind- what are the dimensions of your nest boxes, I'd like to make something like that for my coming banties.

What you see is 6 x 8 but there is a porch yet to be added making it 6 x 10....if I can keep it on that slope that is...more photos' @ My First Coop
Happy Hatch'en Folks!
