my little rosecomb once burned off her tail feathers on a heat lamp! the poor thing smelled like burnt feathers for months!

My Royal Palm tom did that last winter-I had a heat lamp on some ducklings I had hatched, and he squeezed himself under it and burned the feathers on his saddle! He stank!
