Hey thanks again for all the welcomes.

Why yes chicken lady, I am a Michigan Resident. But, I Grew up in Minnesota and passed through Chicago for College.

I should say that my chickens seem to be happy. It's quite cold here and we have several feet of snow already so they don't like to come out of their coop... Gives new meaning to the term "cooped up." They get kind of crazy in there. Crazy they may be, but they are some serious egg laying machines. I've only had them for a month and a half, but in that time my average has been 61/2 eggs per week per chicken. Not bad for the great white north. I figure they must be happy!

well, I'm off to eat a pickled egg!
