I am SOOO EXCITED!! My first chicks are getting ready to hatch at a local farm and I can’t wait to pick them up and bring them home!!!😁😁😁
I have been wanting my own backyard flock for years! I spent the last few months researching and learning about chickens and backyard flock care. I was even lucky enough to finally find all my wish list breeds at one place!
I have my brooder setup ready to go.. puppy pad, pine shavings, feeder, waterer, chick starter, light and a thermometer/hygrometer with Bluetooth.
Am I missing anything??

If by light you mean heat lamp then sounds like you have everything needed to get started with your chicks.. have fun!!

I'm assuming by light you meant heat lamp? Oh and once you start feeding certain treats (don't do it right away) You will need grit. You can either buy chick grit or just use something like play sand.
Yes, I have a heat lamp and chick grit as well!
