First batch of coturnix quail! 15 babies are out!!!!!!!

What's your humidity at? That will affect how fast they hatch. If the humidity is higher they will pop right out! I usually try to keep mine around 65% and up. Also, did you lower the temp of the bator for the hatch? They seem to hatch faster if you lower it a degree. I hatched some of macnugget's eggs a few months ago. I went to bed with like 2 or 3 chicks out, and woke up in the morning with a bator full! I think I had 1 or 2 of 22 eggs that didn't hatch. 2 of the eggs were cracked during shipping.

My humidity gauge is broken for some reason. I know it's more than 27% in there. I have a washcloth soaked with water and the trays at the bottom filled. All of these hatched since 2:30 to now. There are about 5 more pips in there and eggs rocking. Their LOUD little things! I won't be able to get much sleep tonight since their in my bedroom.

yeah I'm glad they are hatching for you.You will enjoy them and when the start laying in 6 weeks you'll have eggs to egg or hatch again

There are a total of 14 out now! 2 other eggs have pips. 11 are in the brooder running around like little nuts! Their so friendly to.

Didn't think anyone was going to respond to this post anymore lol The total count is 15, lost 1 because he was weak and had to help them out of his shell.

Well that great I'm glad your happy with you chicks they grow fast. I got 2 copper maran that hatch this weekend out of 6 eggs. I got from the chickenstock.
