First batch

This is my first batch of chicks and ducklings, and so far we have 7 hatched out, I had to help one this morning but he was huge. I have at least 7 that have pipped. It's so exciting!

Thank you. I hope so too. Pip count is now at ten. Oh my they are busy in there. Good thing my ducklings aren't hatching for another week my bator is a busy place right now.

Got up this morning to 13 new little ones in the incubator.

I started with 57 eggs, mixed chicken and duck. Of those 13 were duck, 11 were supposed to be mixed red and white chicken and the rest were bantams. There are only 8 duck eggs still in the bator the rest were not fertile. And 2 of the chicken were infertile.And out of the 42 chicken, 6 are still "cooking" and I lost one in the shell because I didn't intervene early enough . The other 35 chicks are doing great.

First duckling has pipped! Hopefully the seven others hatch out fine.
