I know this is an old thread, but wanted to thank ninjapoodles for the great pics and description. I've been looking for info on pithing and your pics and info kept me from makeing a big mistake, by all the other descriptions I would have gone towards the top of the head instead of the back. Haven't sent any to freezer camp yet, but my D Day is coming!
