yes - still a newbie -

my first born (Dorking) is now fluffing out nicely, but terrorizing all the new chicks as them come out... pecking, jumping on them, etc. Although he's only 10 hours old, i'm thinking he needs to go into bad birdy lock down?

I guess i wait for the 24 hrs, do the steamy /warm shower thing and pull his sassy buns out of there?

Words of wisdom please

I am by no means at expert, but I always move my ducklings from the incubator into the brooder as soon as they are fluffed out halfway so they don't knock the other eggs and hatching ducklings around. It sounds like your chick is ready to graduate to the brooder!

thanks Sarah - I just wanted to make sure i wasn't freaking out unecessarily (seems to be a lot of that going on today :)

I'll move his sassy buns out of there!
