First chickens today!

I've wanted chickens for a long time. Bought my first four chicks today! I'm looking forward to seeing them grow, renovating the "fixer upper" coop I bought a couple of days ago, and learning all I can from everyone on this forum. We live in town in Waco, TX!

and the wonderful world of chickens! If you're not careful your 4 chicks will become, "Oh, I need 6 more!" I wanted 4 and now I have 8...have to stay out of the feed store right now!

Congrats on taking the plunge. Chickens are definitely fun critters and pretty easy to raise once you get in the rhythm. What are your goals? Basically backyard flock for eggs? Most of all, enjoy your birds!
