First chicks arriving soon~ Michigan

Hi, I haven't raised chickens in the past and was curious who else is out in my neck of the woods. My buff orpington chicks arrive in a couple weeks, very excited.

Oh buff orps! They are such a great breed!!!

I bet you are eggs-cited!

Make sure that everything is ready before they arrive. Make sure their brooder is warmed up to 95 degrees. (Lower is by 5 degrees each week.) Dip the chicks' beaks in lukewarm water with a little sugar. Also, check for pasty butt and wash their vents if they have it.
