I let the kids pick two chicks today, and we will get two more tomorrow from a fellow BYC member that is local here.

Son picked a large lively Arecauna chick.

Daughter picked the smallest blackest BSL in the cage.

both have been eating, pooping, and drinking, and now they snuggled up for a nap.

Ill post pics when I figure out how!

in the boxes on the short ride home, the stool was sort of muddy.

once they got in the broodbox, and under the lamps and started eating and drinking, it got really runny.

is that simply a stress thing?

The two Cuckoo Marans pullets you are getting tommorrow will compliment them well.

You will have a green/blue egg, a brown egg, and two chocolate colored eggs! Very pretty! That lil Americauna is precious! I have 4 adult hens, two blue and two white that I adore. You'll see them tommorrow.

Yes,

wife ( DW?) is very excited about having a variety of different looking eggs.

she was talking to the neighbors and kids yesterday, and all wanted to come and see the chicks.
now every kid in the neighborhood wants baby chicks!

I got up at 3am to make sure they were OK.

they were up talking and eating, and the floor of the box was 102 degrees.

I guess thats not too warm?

and yes, the kiddos are very excited to get two more babies today, and im looking forward to gleaning what I can from your setup Bluehenlvr!

Thanks everyone!
