Those both look like buff Orpington pullets to me they definitely aren't Rhode island reds.... But Orpingtons are great chickens, excellent layers with great personality, I don't think they'll disappoint you ;-)

Definitely look like 2 little ladies. Don’t think they’re RIR though. Here’s a pic of one of my RIR boys at 5/6 weeks.

Now that is an RIR roo! Beautiful boy! I love any chickens, but I love the medium sized breeds like RIRs, BR, BO, ect! They are just perfect. I love my silks too though!

They definitely look like pullets at this point, my vote is Buff Orpington too. They look a lot like my two Orps in the face.
