So I have decided that I am going to document my first, ever clutch of chickens. I recently bought 4 lavender orpingtons hens and a 1 lavender roo, and I am very excited to hatch my first bunch. I started off with 14 eggs and added 2 more later that day.
I had the incubator running for about 12 hours before I placed them. I am using the Little Giant Still Air Incubator and I set the temperature to 99.5 Degrees F. The humidity is at a steady 50%, but I’m sure that’s not entirely accurate. I am using an egg turner because they are just more convenient for me. (This picture was taken when I first plugged it in so the temp isn’t accurate and I also opened the vents)
Ibegan incubating on 9/19/2020 and I will add pictures of development at different milestones.
