Hello Rick and welcome to BYC! Glad you have decided not to further annoy your neighbors. I have one who free ranges and supplies free chicken dinners to the local predators. I've started a modified "free ranging" where I set up a movable fence and supervise for an hour or so, to avoid the hungry free loaders from dropping in for dinner. This might work for you or perhaps a chicken tractor. Whatever you do, best of luck with your flock.
