I finally started putting together my silkie coop today. It isn't much, 4x4x3. I only have 6 silkies so I figured the size should be good. I'm not completely done with it yet but getting there. I have a few pictures but none since I painted it.
Here is the base and the top put on but not much else, and the hubby's legs.
There are 2 walls up now and still going strong. It was starting to get hot and we were slowing down at this point.
All the sides are on and the doors and locks are on but I still have to paint the inside and put the tile flooring in it. The windows and vents will be put on tomorrow sometime and the wire will be put over the windows also. My dear hubby was doing things a little backwards for me but it works. Not going to complain, he didn't have to help me at all. I still need to figure out where to put the nesting boxes but I have time, they are only 13 weeks old. I'm proud of myself for the way it turned out, being my first coop and my first try at making one. It has been painted with grey exterior paint but I forgot to get a picture before I came inside tonight.
