Your 2026 Garden

My jalapeños are taking forever 🙄 but I didntnnote what day I put them in so I cant tell. I think its been 2 weeks. The sweet peppers and bellpeppers are growing like crazy though! And the sage. I need to keep a close eye on the weather so I can bring them out on warm days, they are a bit leggy, my grownlight isn't enough.
You can pinch off pepper plants, they'll branch out more and you'll get more peppers. I especially do this with my poblanos since they get so tall. Last year I did it with my lemon spice jalapenos, and they were like little puff balls in the garden, maybe a foot tall, but they were so loaded with peppers it was crazy!

And can take the larger pinches, root them to get more plants

Secondly apparently chickens find pepper seedling irresistible.. they ate about 30% of the losses,
This is one of the few things chicken wire is good for...keeping chickens out of places. We've got it all around our garden.

These are descendants of flowers my mother grew in her gardens from about 1970. My eldest sister and I have kept them "going" since.
So beautiful and what a great legacy too! ❤️

I have a couple of indoor plants from my mom, an angel leaf begonia and an Easter/Christmas cactus, one each red and white in the same pot that badly needs repotting.

I never knew! Thank you!

Can someone who lives in the colder zones tell me which ones of these flowers you'd plant indoors and which ones I should direct plant in a couple of months? I've grown marigolds in the house before, so maybe those for sure? Some I want for baskets and big pots. I should have bought some petunias. I have a ton of vines growing in the house I add to them.

On the left is I think Queen Anns Lace I found in the ditch nearby. We don't have any in our wildflower garden yet.
