First Copper Maran Egg

We got our first speckled dark brown egg from our Alchemist Farm Copper Maran today! We got her this past May. The egg is so pretty.

That is beautiful!
I have a copper maran but still not laying, we live in Canada, so she may not lay until the warmer weather comes back, but our lavender orpington just started laying last week, so you never know!!
Thanks for the pics, cant wait to get some of these eggs, yolks are supposed to be huge as well!!!

I am happy with my Blue Copper Maran eggs colors. 2 BCM (Dark eggs), 1 Australorp (Light brown), 1 California Gray (White egg) 1 Cream Legbar and 1 Buff Orpington both not laying yet

We got our first speckled dark brown egg from our Alchemist Farm Copper Maran today! We got her this past May. The egg is so pretty.

Yay! I so..so wanted to raise those, but all I could find were hatching eggs..I had the incubator and an order all set up, then decided that as a beginner I just didn’t want to start my career by having to cull fabulously beautiful roosters just because I couldn’t find a home for them. I “settled” (cause it’s not really settling) on Cuckoo Marans, Bielefelders, Speckled Sussex, Black Australorp, Ameraucana (alleged) and Whiting True Blues! I’m about to get my first egg now any day! Congrats!
