First cross beak chick

2 weeks old. I don't know how, but she seems to eat and drink with no special assistance, and is still the largest of her age group.

We got our first ever cross beak this past May. It started showing when she was around 2-3 weeks old. She was smaller than the rest. After figuring out what would help her she does great. My husband made her a nipple waterer and I always wet her food. We file her beak down every 4-6 weeks if she seems to struggle. I tend to baby her (she’s 13 weeks old now) but just the other day I caught her drinking out of the water bowl instead of the nipple waterer. All this time I thought she couldn’t do it. :) sometimes she tried to eat the hard food. I’m not sure how much she gets, but they always have soft food so I know she gets enough.

She's a cutie, @sanderson76 . I imagine since her bottom beak is normal she is able to scoop food and water with the aide of her tongue. I keep trying to find a watering system that works for my boy, but I think his deformity is too severe which caused is tongue to be in a weird place.
