First Crow!

One of our Silkies reared up at 2AM two nights ago and let out some sort of pitiful RAWWRK RAWRK.

It scared the other chickens more than anything. Only 11 weeks old!

It is a funny sound. My silkie first crowed at 14 weeks and all the others huddled in the corner of the run wondering what was going on. He would crow once a day, in the morning for about a week then started to crow through out the day. About a week later my other silkie started...I had to re-home them this past weekend, I am still recovering from the puncture wounds in my arm. Be very careful and good luck.

How very exciting!!
I too, have a rooster who has just started crowing. Well, he is past the funny rawk rawk sound now, and does the full on crow now! He is 5 months.
