we had to do some coop repair after the tornado blew it over last week. nothing too bad though. we have been locking the chicks up in the run for coop maintainance, but today we let them out in the yard. at first they didn't know if they should leave the coop area, that didn't last long. they are 7 weeks old today and they love the outside. I had to herd them back a couple of times, they were getting out of site around the side of the house. we have limestone gravel around our house in the drip line and they loved scratching around in this. we noticed that they did find some treats, worms, and bugs. sometime they would start running, flapping and just having fun. it was great, going to do it again today.
    happy chicky day
